Situated in Xlendi Bay by the sea and already enjoying a good reputation, the owners Joseph and Rose Attard were determined to go the extra mile and strive to provide the best service of any restaurant in Gozo.
They had come across MHCS through the Restaurant Quality Seal Award scheme which was introduced by MTA and in which they take part. Before too long they approached us to work for them independently carrying out regular mystery guest visits which were followed up with reports and meetings which soon started to involve HR matters.
The 24 hr availability service MHCS provides to their clients came in useful when dealing with several staff management matters which involved various subjects that ranged from advice on work permits to establishing firm disciplinary procedures. Before long quality standards have improved and are being monitored constantly.
It became apparent that the final piece of the jig saw was training and an application for EU funding was prepared and training carried out for all the staff all within a period of 1 month from commencement. This was concluded very successfully and we are very pleased with the end results.
