Our History
Long Experience
MHCS Limited was formed in October 1994 to provide consultancy, recruitment and training to the hotel and catering industry. To this day its complement of staff have a strong background in hotel operations with some executives having operated at the highest level of 4 and 5 star properties in Malta and overseas. Further experience has been gained by working on the development of new hotels and restaurants and today this, together with the company’s extensive operational knowledge, serves to provide clients starting a new business or improving their existing one with professional guidance and services which they can truly rely on.
Commitment and Dedication
The company has also moved progressively forward in the sphere of Training and Personnel Development. In conjunction with Training it has become fully engaged in providing Mystery Guest Shopping services. One form of this is the assessment of individual personnel which give it a basis for producing an accurate form of Training Needs Analyses. As a precursor, this allows us to focus on providing training substance where that particular company most needs it.
Constant Development
The Recruitment division has also been developed to meet today’s modern trends and needs, and we are proud to say that we have not forsaken our set traditional standards of interviewing or at least screening candidates that are being proposed, whichever grade of position they seek. Whether they are interviewed or just screened depends very much on the needs of the client who after all, is there to be served.

Mystery Auditing and RecruitmentMHCS Malta started carrying out Mystery Diner visits for Kitchen Concepts in 2009 for our first restaurant Vecchia Napoli. Today they carry our quarterly visits in all of our 6 restaurants. We have found them to be very professional and meticulous and they have tailor made each individual Mystery Diner questionnaire to suit the needs of each individual restaurant. Each visit is followed by a very detailed report and MHCS always make themselves available to discuss these reports or clarify any comments on the report. They are also very flexible and always send mystery shoppers on the days and times requested by us and always oblige when we ask them to look out for particular things during certain visits. I believe that through the mystery dine visits that MHCS carry out we have been able, from time to time, to identify our weak areas and have been able to improve on them as well as improve the general experience for our customers since we are able to understand better how our customers perceive us and our food and service.
I found the mystery shopping exercises truly beneficial for our business as this helps us understand what our customers are experiencing in our shops.
